Our Eternal Heritage in Christ: Freedom Through One Perfect Sacrifice
The foundation of our faith stands on the finished work of Jesus Christ. Hebrews 10:14 declares that “by one offering He has perfected forever those who are sanctified.” This shows the completeness of Christ’s sacrifice. It was not one of many rituals but a single act that secures our perfection before God. Under the old covenant, repeated sacrifices could not cleanse the conscience. They only treated sin superficially and temporarily. In contrast, Christ’s one sacrifice cleanses us from within and establishes a permanent relationship with God. Hebrews 10:17 says, “Their sins and iniquities I will remember no more.” This divine promise means God no longer counts our sins against us. Our past no longer defines our standing. In Christ, we are already accepted, already forgiven, and already righteous. Anyone who comes to Christ by faith inherits this new covenant grace.
