Do Pets Have a Place in Heaven? Exploring the Bible’s View

Some wonder if animals will be in heaven. The Bible offers clues that they will share in the world to come. In Revelation and 2 Kings we see horses and chariots of fire in heaven. Isaiah and Romans describe creation’s restoration under Christ, where “the wolf also shall dwell with the lamb” (Isaiah 11:6–9; Romans 8:19–22). Beasts don’t have immortal souls like humans (Ecclesiastes 3:21). Yet God even cares for sparrows (Matthew 10:29). Animals will enjoy a renewed creation under a lifted curse, though they do not receive the salvation of a human soul.
