Bride Says Church Threatened to Cancel Her Wedding Over Pre-Wedding Photos
A woman has shared how her church allegedly threatened to cancel her wedding after she posted pre-wedding photos with her fiancé online. She said the church prohibited intending couples from seeing or going out with each other before the wedding, except at church and in the presence of an elderly leader. She also said the couple arranged their own genotype, blood group and infection screening because the church did not request medical tests. According to her, churches should give more attention to medical screening, marriage counselling and emotional preparation, alongside spiritual guidance. She said her wedding gown was also criticised for looking “worldly.”
