Sowore Slams Tinubu’s ‘Sell Akara and Roasted Corn’ Advice for the Poor

Omoyele Sowore has dismissed the First Lady’s recent suggestion that Nigerians struggling financially should start small businesses like selling akara, roasted corn and kulikuli. On X, the activist argued that the government never presented real solutions to the country’s economic crisis. She also highlighted interventions in health, education, agriculture and digital skills development in partnership with a federal agency. Mrs Tinubu urged Nigerians not to lose hope, describing her initiatives as complementary to broader federal efforts to improve livelihoods and expand opportunities.
