Wumi Toriola Calls Out Desola Afod Over Comments About Nollywood Actors

Actress and producer Wumi Toriola has criticised Desola Afod over comments suggesting that people in the theatre industry disrespect her. Desola had said she should not be addressed by her name because she is older than many actors and actresses. Wumi argued that she should identify anyone who offended her instead of making a statement that appears to target the entire Nollywood community. Wumi said the theatre industry is her livelihood and should not be disparaged. She also advised Desola to handle fame and public criticism more carefully. Another actress, Bimbo Success, had earlier responded to Desola’s remarks.
