Power Minister Apologises Over Persistent Electricity Outages
Bayo Adelabu, Nigeria’s Minister of Power, has apologised for the ongoing electricity outages causing hardship across the country. Speaking at a news conference in Abuja, he admitted the poor supply has disrupted businesses, schools and industries. He assured Nigerians that the ministry is working round the clock to reverse the trend. He recalled the praise received for power delivery in 2025 and vowed to restore stability ahead of the next election year. He also promised that within weeks, generation and distribution would improve and that the 6,000 MW target would be achieved by year-end.
