The Risen Christ Reveals Himself to Mary Magdalene

Mary Magdalene stood weeping outside the tomb, mourning the loss of her Lord. She looked inside and saw two angels in white seated where Jesus had been laid. They asked why she cried. She replied that someone had taken her Lord, and she did not know where. Then she turned and saw a man she thought was the gardener. When he spoke her name, “Mary,” she recognized Jesus and cried out, “Rabboni!” He told her not to cling to him but to go and share the news: he was ascending to his Father and her God. Filled with joy, Mary ran to the disciples with the proclamation, “I have seen the Lord!”
