Isa Pantami Breaks Down After APC Denies Him Gombe Governorship Ticket

Former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Ali Pantami, wept publicly when the APC excluded him from its Gombe State governorship consensus. Pantami rejected the process that produced businessman Jamilu Isyaku Gwamna. He argued it violated the Electoral Act and lacked written agreements from all cleared aspirants. Through his Pantamiyya Movement, he accused party leaders of staging a “coronation” instead of a democratic selection. A similar dispute unfolded in Kwara State when an APC assembly hopeful also protested his removal from the candidates’ list.
