Awoniyi Sent Off as Coventry Lose 5-0 to Brighton
Super Eagles striker Taiwo Awoniyi was sent off in the 53rd minute as Coventry City suffered a 5-0 Premier League defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion. Coventry were already 2-0 down when Awoniyi received a straight red card for an elbow on a Brighton player. Brighton added three goals after the break to seal the win. Frank Onyeka also featured for Coventry, playing 73 minutes before being substituted. The defeat left Coventry bottom of the table, without a point or a goal after four matches.
