North Tyneside to Mark Black History Month With Culture and Storytelling

North Tyneside will hold a Black History Month celebration on 24 October 2026 at Wallsend Community Hub and Library. The event, themed “Celebrating Our Own Way!”, is being organised with support from North Tyneside Council. Running from 10:00am to 12:30pm, the programme will feature music, storytelling and shared cultural experiences. It aims to celebrate Black history, culture and contributions to the local community while encouraging unity and understanding. The event is free, but booking is required because of limited space. Families, friends and other community members are invited to attend.
