Chelsea Near Deal for Rayo Vallecano Left-Back Pep Chavarria

Chelsea are reportedly close to reaching an agreement with Rayo Vallecano for left-back Pep Chavarria. Negotiations between both clubs have continued for more than a month. Chelsea are seeking a replacement for Marc Cucurella after his reported move to Real Madrid. The 28-year-old Chavarria would add experience to Chelsea's young squad. He started for Rayo Vallecano in last season's Conference League final, which they lost 1-0 to Crystal Palace.
