1,000 Inspirational Books Donated to Anambra Secondary Schools

The Ide Gabriel Ezekwo Foundation handed over 1,000 copies of its inspirational book In His Days to post-primary schools in Anambra State through the Post Primary Schools Service Commission in Awka. At the PPSSC headquarters, Chief Cosmas Nwafor explained that the donation aims to build positive values in students. He urged schools to hold reading sessions, quizzes, and debates to teach lessons of hard work, discipline, and community service. He also commended Governor Chukwuma Soludo for his commitment to education. The PPSSC Secretary, Mrs. Bernadine Anago, welcomed the books and asked zonal directors to integrate them into reading and extracurricular programmes for maximum impact. This initiative is expected to benefit thousands of students across public secondary schools in the state.

How will the Ide Gabriel Ezekwo Foundation track the actual impact of these 1,000 donated books on student motivation and outcomes?

Absolutely, tracking the impact on students is just as important as the donation itself.

The donation is generous, but large book handovers often stall in local offices before reaching the intended students on time.

I doubt say dem books go beyond exhibition plaques; una need clear follow-up plan so inspiration really land with the students.

Schools could set up weekly reading clubs around the new books, and teachers might track reflections to spark deeper student engagement.
