Africa Prudential Records ₦1.59bn H1 Profit as It Expands Digital Services

Africa Prudential Plc reported a profit after tax of ₦1.59 billion for the first half of 2026, up 18% from the same period in 2025. Gross earnings rose 27% to ₦4.28 billion, while profit before tax increased 22% to ₦2.41 billion. The company attributed the performance to growth in its registrar business, increased capital-market corporate actions, stronger treasury earnings and wider adoption of its technology-enabled services. Total assets grew to ₦46.53 billion, while shareholders’ funds rose to ₦12.52 billion. Management said it is expanding recurring, non-interest revenue through digital investor services, KYC solutions, AGM technology, probate services and the SabiVest app. The strategy is intended to reduce exposure to changes in interest rates and strengthen long-term earnings.

Strong H1 numbers are encouraging, but one half-year result alone does not prove that the digital expansion will sustain the same pace.
