Saudi Hosts 50th Grand Hajj Symposium to Advance Pilgrim Services

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah held its 50th Grand Hajj Symposium in Jeddah with ministers, scholars and specialists from across the Islamic world. The event reviewed decades of efforts to develop pilgrim services and explored how data, innovation and modern technology can enhance operational efficiency and the quality of the Hajj experience. The programme featured Saudi officials including the Minister of Hajj and Umrah and the Mufti of Saudi Arabia. Delegates from the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, led by Prof. Musa Fodio, took part in sessions on compliance with scientifically determined guidelines and preparations for the 2027 pilgrimage.
