Super Falcons to Host Senegal in Back-to-Back June Friendlies
The Super Falcons will face Senegal in a double-header of international friendly matches at Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne, Ogun State on June 5 and 8, 2026. These fixtures replace a planned friendly against Jamaica in England, which was cancelled after the Jamaica Football Federation and organisers failed to agree on dates within the official FIFA Women’s International Window. The matches will help the Falcons prepare for the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco from July 26 to August 16, where they aim to defend their title and secure one of four direct World Cup qualification spots. Nigeria were crowned WAFCON champions in 2024 after a 3-2 final win over hosts Morocco. The Falcons are drawn in Group C alongside Malawi, Zambia and Egypt, while Senegal contest Group A with Morocco, Algeria and Kenya.
