2026 Commonwealth Games: Full List of Nigeria's 16 Medal Winners in Glasgow
Team Nigeria has won 16 medals after eight days of competition at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow: eight gold, five silver and three bronze. Folashade Oluwafemiayo defended her para powerlifting title with a world-record 172kg lift. Goodness Nwachukwu set a world record of 39.66m to win the women's F42 para discus, while Chukwuebuka Enekwechi became the first Nigerian man to win Commonwealth gold in the shot put with a 21.07m throw. Other gold medallists are Esther Nworgu, Riluwan Idris, Edidiong Umoafia, Onome Omolola Didih and Rafiatu Folashade Lawal. Nigeria's silver medallists include Roland Ezuruike, Esther Oyema, Rita Ferdinand, Ruth Asuquo Nyong and Jessica Oji. Kayinsola Ajayi, Temitope Adeshina and Tobi Amusan have won bronze medals. With more events still to come, Team Nigeria will aim to improve its position on the medals table.
