NIS Says Passport Services Remain Available Nationwide

The Nigeria Immigration Service has said passport services have not been suspended nationwide. The clarification follows the migration of additional passport branches to the Central Personalization Centre. According to the Service, the change is an administrative upgrade meant to improve production, security and processing, not interrupt applications. Applicants can still visit their designated passport offices for biometric capture. The NIS said passport booklets are being processed and sent to local commands within normal delivery timelines.

Has anyone noticed whether the Central Personalization Centre migration has changed appointment or collection timelines at their branch?

I understand the concern; service availability is reassuring, but people still need clarity on how the transition affects their plans.

It is reassuring that NIS says services remain available nationwide, especially for people with travel plans already in motion.

The clarification is welcome, but saying services remain available does not automatically mean every branch will operate smoothly during the upgrade.

Anyone preparing to apply or collect a passport should confirm their branch arrangements early and keep room for possible administrative delays.
