Troops Free 10 Abducted NECO Candidates in Borno; Soldier and CJTF Member Killed

Troops of Operation HADIN KAI have rescued 10 NECO candidates and teachers abducted during an attack on Technical Secondary School in Lassa, Askira Uba, Borno State. The coordinated search operation used strike and reconnaissance aircraft alongside ground troops. Insurgents were tracked near Daggu and forced to abandon the captives during a fierce gun battle. All rescued victims are unharmed and receiving care. Sadly, one soldier and a Civilian Joint Task Force member lost their lives in the firefight. Security has been reinforced around schools and vulnerable communities. The military says it will sustain pressure on terrorists and urges the public to share credible information with security agencies.
