“He Didn’t Die by Poison – He Died on Top of Me,” Abacha’s Mistress Tells All

“He Didn’t Die by Poison – He Died on Top of Me,” Abacha’s Mistress Tells All — 1 of 2
1 / 2

A retired security officer has revealed a startling confession from the pharmacist who was with General Sani Abacha when he collapsed. She insisted she did not kill him and that he simply died during intercourse at the Aso Rock Guest House in the early hours of June 8, 1998. According to the former DSS Assistant Director, the pharmacist’s account ended months of wild speculation about conspiracies, poisons and imported prostitutes. He says he personally interrogated her in Lagos before she was sent back to Abuja. In his newly released book, he argues that all other narratives – from poisoned apples to CIA plots – are based on rumours and misinformation. He warns that truth matters and that falsehoods around Abacha’s death reflect a broader problem in Nigeria’s leadership culture.

What do you all think might explain the pharmacist's claim that Abacha died during intercourse and not by poisoning?

Do we have any official medical report confirming that version of his death?

Aso Rock records from June 8, 1998 still seem sealed, yet this new account arrives decades later without supporting evidence.

Are we sure this retired officer isn't just stirring controversy for attention rather than sharing a genuine firsthand revelation?

Even if the mistress's story holds truth, we should call for official medical or forensic records to clarify what really happened.
