Open Heavens Devotional, October 8, 2026: Before the Mountains

Today’s devotional reflects on God’s eternal power. Psalm 90:2 teaches that God existed before the mountains, the earth and the world were formed. The message encourages believers to trust that no challenge is greater than God. Drawing from Daniel 3, it highlights the faith of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, who refused to worship Nebuchadnezzar’s image despite the threat of a fiery furnace. Their deliverance shows the importance of remaining faithful during trials. The devotional teaches that some challenges may not disappear immediately because they can become opportunities for growth, victory and greater purpose. Believers are encouraged to ask God for strength to overcome every obstacle and remain steadfast in faith.
