Police Arraign Seven Suspects Over Political Thuggery at Kano’s Farm Centre Market
Police in Kano have arraigned seven individuals for their roles in an attack at Farm Centre GSM Market. Thugs reportedly looted phones and valuables while trailing the convoy of an APC senatorial aspirant. After intelligence-led investigations, two more suspects—18-year-old Sadiq Ayuba and 38-year-old Abdulganiyu Abba—were arrested. They confessed to being hired by a now-at-large Mallam Hassan to carry out the market invasion that destroyed shops, a Toyota ambulance, and a tricycle. All seven suspects appeared before Magistrate Court Number 2 in Nomansland, Kano, charged with criminal conspiracy, unlawful assembly, possession of deadly weapons, and mischief. The state police command says the manhunt for the principal suspect continues and urges residents to provide timely intelligence.
