Šuker Backs Modrić to Continue Croatia Career Beyond 40

Croatia legend Davor Šuker believes Luka Modrić can continue playing at the highest level well into his 40s and could remain part of the national team setup for Euro 2028. Speaking before Croatia’s Nations League match against Spain, Šuker praised Modrić’s fitness, technical quality and intelligence. He said the midfielder has continued to prove that he can perform at the top level. Šuker also acknowledged Spain as favourites for the match but said Croatia are capable of rising to the occasion when underestimated.
