Katsina and UNICEF Mark International Day of Play to Boost Child Learning

Katsina State and UNICEF joined forces at Gamzo Primary School in Mashi LGA to observe the International Day of Play. The event highlighted the role of play in children’s learning, development and well-being. Dr Kabir Magaji, Executive Chairman of SUBEB, praised Mashi teachers and Governor Dikko Radda for improving access to quality education. He urged more child-centred activities in schools. UNICEF’s Hauwa Kai-Kai stressed that every child has the right to safe, inclusive play. She called on parents to engage in playtime at home to strengthen emotional growth and life skills.
