Onyeka Faces Fitness Test Ahead of Coventry’s Carabao Cup Tie With Aston Villa
Frank Onyeka will undergo a late fitness test before Coventry City’s Carabao Cup third-round match against Aston Villa. The Nigerian midfielder was forced off during Coventry’s 5-0 home defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday. Ghanaian midfielder Caleb Yirenkyi replaced him with 18 minutes left. Taiwo Awoniyi will miss the match through suspension after his red card against Brighton. Coventry will also be without Josh Eccles, Kaine Kesler-Hayden, Luke Woolfenden and Haji Wright as they seek to improve on a difficult start to the season.
