Father Removes Daughter From Alleged Abuse by Her Caregiver

I woke up around 5:00 a.m. while preparing for the school run and heard a woman in the next compound pleading with her husband not to take Chikamso away. She promised to do better and said she would no longer beat the girl. The man said he had warned her several times and could not allow the situation to continue. He left with Chikamso and her belongings. The girl is already in secondary school, and I am relieved that her father stepped in. No child should be subjected to mistreatment at home.
