UNIZIK Pre-Degree Unit Holds 2026 Orientation, Announces Campus Upgrades and Career Strategies
The Pre-Degree Centre at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Mbaukwu, welcomed new students on 5 June 2026 with a one-day orientation themed “Career Exploration and Goal Setting.” Speakers emphasized time management and exam success as keys to securing full undergraduate admission. University leaders unveiled major facility upgrades at Mbaukwu campus. Highlights include 100 solar street lights, solar-lit classrooms for night study, a new kitchen block, shower facilities, and improved water supply. The application process has also been digitized, and staff and casual worker wages have been enhanced. Officials announced that the Mbaukwu site will be upgraded to a full campus and will host the JUPEB programme starting September. Lectures on career planning and safety, plus medical screening and sporting awards, rounded off the orientation, urging students to focus, excel, and avoid malpractice.
