Singer Peter Okoye has alerted his legal team after an X user posted defamatory remarks about his late mother, Mrs Josephine Okoye. The user accused Mrs Okoye of ethnic prejudice and claimed she opposed Peter’s marriage to Lola Omotayo because of her Yoruba roots. They also alleged this hostility contributed to her death in July 2012. On his X handle, Peter said he will hold the poster accountable through the courts.
