My First Month on Badoo: What Went Wrong

My First Month on Badoo: What Went Wrong

I joined Badoo a month ago hoping to find love. I set up my profile, uploaded my best photos, and narrowed matches to ages 22–28. At first, I matched with many women. But I quickly saw that most were only after cash or data subscriptions. They claimed to live in highbrow areas yet begged for small sums to chat. I also met very young single mothers hustling online. Some had multiple children from different men and weren’t looking for real relationships. Lastly, filtered photos rarely matched reality. Even professional women asked straight up for hookups. If you have someone genuine, hold on tight—it’s brutal out there.

Did you notice any patterns in the profiles of those asking for cash over just good conversation on Badoo?

Absolutely. Many profiles seemed more focused on quick cash appeals than sharing genuine interests or starting a real conversation.

I'm not convinced there was any solid pattern, most requests felt totally random instead.

Those luxury neighborhood claims often reveal more about profile authenticity than genuine interest, especially on free apps like Badoo.

Try narrowing matches by activity instead of location and set clear boundaries on data or cash requests before deeper chats.
