Sen. Karimi Confident Nigeria Will Defeat Insurgency, Banditry and Kidnapping

Senator representing Kogi West says Nigeria’s current security challenges will not derail the country. He spoke in his Abuja residence during a visit from constituents marking his third year in the Senate. Karimi described the recent wave of violent attacks as a coordinated effort to destabilise national cohesion and distract the Tinubu administration from its governance agenda. He blamed local miscreants and foreign collaborators for mounting simultaneous assaults across different regions. Despite prevailing fears, the senator highlighted the resilience of Nigeria’s security forces and cited rescue operations like the release of Mrs. Olaide Busayo John-Paul and her twin sons as proof of ongoing successes. He also noted sustained military pressure on insurgent groups and armed criminals. Karimi commended the president’s backing of security agencies and reforms such as expanded coverage and state policing. He expressed confidence that all abducted victims, including schoolchildren and teachers, will be rescued through continued operations.
