US Firm Alleges Tinubu Tells Different Stories Abroad and at Home
A Washington, D.C.-based policy advisory firm has accused President Bola Tinubu of sending conflicting messages to foreign and domestic audiences on key national issues. In a recent post on X, the group said Tinubu offered one account to French officials, another to Islamic leaders, and yet another to American policymakers in pursuit of political support. The firm warned Nigerians could wake up to find their country “sold out” and called for leadership capable of uniting citizens across religious lines. It also highlighted concerns over ongoing violence in parts of the country and urged international attention to Nigeria’s internal security challenges. The allegations follow viral claims that Tinubu plans to rename Nigeria and abolish Sharia law in the North—claims the presidency has dismissed as false and politically motivated. As of press time, the presidency had not directly responded to these new accusations.
