CDS Highlights Border Synergy and Local Defence Production at JDWC Inaugural Lecture
At the inaugural lecture of the Joint Doctrine and Warfare Centre, General Olufemi Oluyede outlined key steps to strengthen Nigeria’s security. He stressed the need for robust border security and stronger ties with neighbouring countries. He also called for increased local defence production through DICON and other local manufacturers. The CDS urged all military and security agencies to work together, leveraging each service’s strengths. He emphasized home-grown strategies to tackle complex security threats. The lecture’s findings will go to the Federal Executive Council and the Nigeria Governors’ Forum for wider support and implementation.
