In a video on Instagram, Remi described Ekubo as “the definition of a good man,” lauding his kindness, grace and unwavering faith in Christ. He said his greatest comfort is knowing Ekubo is now at peace. Ekubo’s family announced he died at Evercare Hospital, praising his remarkable strength and hope even in pain. They believe his story will inspire many. Remi also honoured Ekubo’s choice of privacy during his illness and urged others to remember that kindness matters more than social media followers or wealth. He said Nollywood was blessed to have experienced him.
