Angela Eguavoen Mourns Alex Ekubo and Questions the Fragility of Life
Nollywood actress Angela Eguavoen has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Alex Ekubo, who died on May 11 at age 41 after battling cancer. She called his death “one pain” and described the loss as heart-wrenching. On Instagram, Angela questioned the very purpose of life when the only certainty is our eventual end. “Father Lord, what really is the essence of life? When the life you’ve given us is so fickle!” she wrote, lamenting that no matter how careful one is, some people leave too soon. In the wake of his death, fellow actors—among them Biodun Okeowo, Rotimi Salami, Yewande Adekoya, Odunlade Adekola and Eniola Badmus—have offered prayers against untimely loss in Nollywood. Many have urged Nigerians to seek solutions within their heritage and to pray for long, meaningful lives.
