Drake’s Dad Denies Cancer Battle After Album Lyrics Spark Rumours

Drake’s Dad Denies Cancer Battle After Album Lyrics Spark Rumours

Dennis Graham, Drake’s father, has set the record straight about his health. He dismissed claims that he is battling cancer now. The rumours began after Drake’s latest album Iceman dropped and on the track “Make Them Cry” he raps “My dad got cancer right now, we battlin’ stages.” Many fans assumed it was a real update. Graham spoke to reporters in West Hollywood on Friday. He said he beat lung cancer several years ago and has fully recovered. “Doctors recently confirmed that the cancer had cleared up completely,” he said, calling it a miracle. He also noted that he has cut down on smoking and is in good health. Iceman marks Drake’s first major release since last year. It is one of three studio projects he launched this week.

It's striking that rumours about Dennis Graham's health spread so quickly after a lyric drop, highlighting how we read into every line.

I'm not convinced a single song verse should set off a nationwide health panic. Fans need to pause before running with rumours.

It might help to wait for official statements before spreading news online. Check reputable outlets or the artist's own channels.
