1 / 4

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory has announced plans to commission more than 30 fully completed projects across Abuja starting Monday. Following an inspection tour on June 4, he confirmed that flagship works—including the Gwarinpa-Jahi interchange, Airport-Kuje road, Kuje-Gwagwalada road and the Outer Southern Expressway—are ready for handover. He praised the quality of construction and said the Abuja City Gate’s new night-time lighting will be unveiled under the stars. Media outlets have been invited to join the ceremonies as “ambassadors” to showcase these achievements. Final scheduling of the President’s involvement and the exact number of projects he will launch will be determined by the Presidency.

It's interesting they're planning to open thirty projects so quickly after one inspection tour. I wonder if everything is really ready.

Local businesses should plan ahead around these new routes to avoid traffic congestion once the interchange and road works go live.
