Deutsch Insists Enyimba’s Survival Push Is Unshaken After Rangers Loss

Enyimba coach Emmanuel Deutsch says Sunday’s 2–1 defeat to Rangers in Enugu will not derail the People’s Elephant’s fight to stay up in the NPFL. Wonah Williams gave Enyimba the lead early in the second half, but Onyebuchi Ifeanyi and Chidozie Iwundu turned the game around for the hosts. The loss leaves Enyimba 13th on 43 points with three matches remaining, while Rangers reclaim top spot on 59 points. Deutsch admitted Rangers showed greater hunger on the day but called the setback a temporary stumble. “Losing a regional derby away isn’t disaster,” he said. “We scored first, they equalised and then scored the winner. We’ll regroup and prepare for the next game.”
