Nigerian Navy Transfers Two Human Trafficking Victims to NAPTIP
The Nigerian Navy conducted an anti-trafficking operation on July 17 and rescued two individuals. On July 19, the Forward Operating Base in Badagry formally handed them over to the NAPTIP Lagos Zonal Command in Ikeja. The rescued victims underwent documentation, biometric capture, and administrative procedures before transfer. This handover follows the Harmonised Standard Operating Procedures for handling trafficking survivors. It highlights the navy’s commitment to protecting vulnerable persons and securing Nigeria’s maritime and territorial borders.
