3 Household Health Hazards You Should Not Ignore

Everyday household problems can become health risks when they are ignored. A dirty refrigerator may spread contamination through spoiled food, leaks and poor storage. Clean spills promptly, separate raw food from ready-to-eat meals, and discard food that has gone bad. Standing water in buckets, flowerpots and blocked drains can breed mosquitoes. Empty unused containers regularly and keep stored water covered. Poor ventilation can trap moisture, smoke, cooking fumes and other indoor pollutants. Open windows when it is safe to do so, and use exhaust fans in kitchens and bathrooms where possible. A safer home does not require perfection. Keep your space clean, dry, well ventilated and properly maintained to reduce avoidable health hazards.
