NSCDC Detains Father for Incest and Abuse of 14-Year-Old in Kwara
The Kwara State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps has arrested 40-year-old AbdulRauf Ambali. He faces charges of incest, unlawful sexual intercourse with his 14-year-old daughter, and arranging her abortion. The victim escaped her father’s home after months of abuse and intimidation. She told investigators she had lived with her grandmother until December 2025. Shortly after moving in with her father, the abuse began. She became pregnant in May 2026 and was taken to a private clinic for confirmation and termination. The suspect allegedly threatened and beat her whenever she resisted. The case was reported on June 16 and transferred to the NSCDC Gender Unit. The Commandant condemned the act as a grave violation of a child’s rights and urged the public to report all cases of child abuse promptly.
