Isaac Fayose Urges Brother Ayo to Reject REA Chairmanship

Isaac Fayose has appealed to his elder brother, former Ekiti State governor Ayo Fayose, to turn down his recent appointment as Chairman of the Rural Electrification Agency board. He pointed out that fellow opposition figure Reno Omokri secured an ambassadorial role. Isaac also linked the timing of the appointment to Peter Obi’s recent visit to his home. He recalled Ayo Fayose’s earlier promise to avoid political posts after leaving office and dismissed the chairmanship as a “Greek gift.” He ended by congratulating his brother but urging him to hand the spot to his son. Isaac maintained confidence in the opposition’s 2027 prospects and described Ayo Fayose as a key political kingmaker.
