Honour the Son: A Reflection on John 5:21–24

Honour the Son: A Reflection on John 5:21–24

Christians are called to honour Jesus Christ as they honour the Father. According to John 5:21–24, the Son gives life, carries divine authority to judge, and grants eternal life to those who hear His word and believe in the Father who sent Him. Those who honour the Son honour the Father. Through faith in Christ, believers pass from death to life and are no longer under condemnation. Amen.

The reflection is clear, though readers may still differ on how these verses alone establish every wider claim about Christ's nature.

A practical response is to read John 5:21–24 slowly, note each claim about the Son, and discuss it alongside the surrounding passage.
