Nigeria and Poland Deepen Partnership in AI, Trade and Security

Nigeria and Poland Deepen Partnership in AI, Trade and Security

Nigeria and Poland have agreed to expand cooperation across economics, technology and security. This follows a meeting in Abuja where the Minister of Foreign Affairs met with Poland’s Deputy Prime Minister. The two countries have enjoyed diplomatic ties since 1962. They plan new collaboration in education, trade, technology, security and investment. Poland has supported Nigerian students affected by the Russia-Ukraine conflict. Recent talks highlighted opportunities in artificial intelligence, digital transformation, cybersecurity, maritime security and defence. Nigeria’s Renewed Hope Agenda reforms are improving the business climate and attracting Polish investors. About 6,000 Nigerians live in Poland. Both governments committed to strengthening people-to-people links and exploring further partnerships in infrastructure, tourism and cultural exchange.
