ADC Disowns Fake Elective Convention Video, Awaits Court Verdict

A faction of the African Democratic Congress led by Nafiu Bala Gombe has rejected a circulating podcast video. They say it was produced by coalition propaganda agents and falsely claims an elective convention at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja. In a statement, the party’s Chief of Staff clarified that no notice was issued for any convention. The national leadership under Nafiu Bala Gombe remains committed to due process, constitutionalism and the rule of law. The ADC will await rulings in the Federal High Court and the Supreme Court before announcing any official schedule of activities.

Could this video denial alter how people perceive ADC's integrity before the court reaches a decision?

I'm not convinced a single disowned clip will shift public trust that much before the ruling.

It's odd that a faction would reject a podcast video without offering any evidence to support their claim.

I dey feel say they too quick to deny it without naming who really made that podcast clip.

The ADC should publicly share the full recording and production metadata to clarify any doubts before the court delivers its verdict.
