Highlander Explains Why He’ll Never Join Politics
Kolade Oyewande, popularly known as Highlander in Yoruba Nollywood, says he has no intention of joining politics or any party now or in the future. He credits this decision to his late father’s advice: support any candidate you believe in without bribes or sentiment. He insists his farming estate in Ogun State sits on 15 acres bought over 14 years ago by his father, with no government financing. Highlander also spoke about his bond with Deputy Inspector General of Police Adegoke Fayoade. He described Fayoade as a father figure who stepped in after he lost his biological dad.
