Nigerian Man Arrested in Mumbai’s Bandra with Drugs Worth Rs 2.21 Crore
Mumbai police have filed an FIR against a 39-year-old Nigerian man after uncovering Ecstasy tablets and cocaine valued at Rs 2.21 crore. Anti-narcotics cell officers intercepted him on Sherly Rajan Road in Bandra around 11:15 pm on April 16. He was waiting for customers when he spotted the patrol and tried to leave. A search of his pouch revealed 45 Ecstasy pills (24 g) worth Rs 7.2 lakh and 213 g of cocaine valued at Rs 2.14 crore. The suspect was identified as Eze Njoku, who lives in Nala Sopara and holds a valid Indian visa until August 2026. Njoku told investigators he suffered a leg injury in a railway accident in 2019. He remains in custody as authorities continue their investigation.
