I Regret Studying Geography: Why Your Course Choice Matters
I spent four years studying geography at university and graduated in 2019 without finding a job in my field. Instead, I’ve been doing labourer work since my undergraduate days, earning barely enough to get by. My former hostel mates who studied engineering and computer science now have good jobs and stable lives. They even have families, while I’m still under the sun fixing things for a meager wage. I only accepted geography because I lacked credit in physics for architecture. Desperation made me take the course, and now I’m paying the price. To all young people: study a course with real career prospects. Choosing the right degree could spare you years of regret.
