Hope Builders Demands Transparent Probe of ₦4bn Gold Scandal Involving Senator Yari

Hope Builders Nigeria is urging a full and open investigation into reports linking Senator Abdulaziz Yari to an alleged ₦4 billion gold scandal. The group pointed to intercepted gold bars at Kano Airport and called on the EFCC to examine all financial trails, communications and transactions without fear or favour. While acknowledging Senator Yari’s right to innocence until proven guilty, the organisation stressed that anti-corruption institutions must scrutinise powerful figures with the same rigor they apply to ordinary citizens. Hope Builders warned against any politicisation of the probe and insisted that proven wrongdoing must be met with prosecution. It said corruption steals from every Nigerian and undermines national development.
