FG to Launch Nationwide Radio Station for Adult Literacy and Skills Training
The Federal Government will soon launch a dedicated radio station to deliver lessons in literacy and vocational education for adult and non-formal learners across Nigeria. The National Commission for Mass Literacy, Adult and Non-Formal Education says the project has ministerial approval to expand access in remote communities. Radio remains the most affordable medium for reaching marginalised and hard-to-reach populations. The station will be jointly managed by NMEC, the National Commission for Nomadic Education and other agencies responsible for out-of-school learners. Broadcasting will begin nationwide and beyond Nigeria’s borders using digital technology, with frequencies shared so every learner can tune in.
