UK Crackdown Exposes 150 Offenders in Drug-Facilitated Sexual Assault Networks

UK Crackdown Exposes 150 Offenders in Drug-Facilitated Sexual Assault Networks

UK law enforcement agencies have identified over 150 offenders and victims in a nationwide crackdown on organised drug-facilitated sexual assault and domestic abuse networks, according to the National Crime Agency. The operation targets criminal groups that allegedly use digital platforms to coordinate assaults, share abuse material and exploit victims. Investigators say more than 270 individuals have been linked to an online forum since October 2025. Authorities have exchanged over 210 intelligence packages with partners in the UK and abroad, leading to at least 14 criminal investigations. Officials warn the true scale of drug-facilitated sexual assault remains unknown due to underreporting. Under a new strategy, the NCA will work with prosecutors, police forces, health services and specialist organisations to strengthen intelligence sharing, improve investigations and better protect victims. This effort builds on Operation Soteria and expands cooperation through the Europol-backed Project Medusa.
