Army Seizes Weapons Cache in Ogidigben After Gunfire Alert

Security forces of the 63 Brigade, Joint Task Force South-South, seized a weapons cache in Ogidigben community, Warri South-West LGA, Delta State. Troops acted on credible intelligence of gunfire and arrested two suspects believed to be linked to criminal networks. Recovered items include four AK-47 rifles, six magazines, 106 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition, two knives, ten machetes and four pairs of rain boots. The suspects are in custody and undergoing interrogation as investigations continue. The brigade commander commended the swift response and warned that anyone involved in illegal arms possession will be tracked down. Residents are urged not to harbour offenders as security operations intensify across the area.
